| MorningStar
School is a private non-campus Christian school, registered with the state,
now accepting home taught students. MorningStar School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and school-administered programs.
NOTE:
MorningStar School is unable to accommodate
students with learning disabilities. We are not
participants of the McKay Scholarship Program. |

Steering Philosophy

| The
founders of MorningStar believe that you
(as a parent) are the God ordained authority of your
child's education and training.
Proverbs 3:5-6 states, "Trust
in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on
your own understanding; In all your ways
acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths."
This is the foundation scripture for our school.
We believe that a
family's trust in God's care and directing
ability are fundamental to a successful home
based learning program. Larry Julian
in his book, "God is my
CEO,"
wrote: |

| The ancient Greeks
popularized the term "morning star,"
which were actually planets appearing regularly
in the morning sky. These planets seemed to be extremely bright (brighter than anything else in the sky, other than the Sun and the Moon).
Since
a Morning star isn't really a star, but a planet,
it doesn't generate its own light. Instead, it
merely displays the reflected light of the
not-yet-visible Sun. In
the darkest hours of the night, the appearance of
the Morning Star brought hope to night
watchman everywhere. It was concrete evidence that
the night would soon end with
the dawning of a brand new day! In
Revelation 22, Jesus refers to himself as the "....bright, Morning
Star." He is the radiance of God's glory, our
hope of New Life, our concrete evidence that God
loves us and desires to care for us as His very
own.
Like the bright
star that led the wise men to Jesus in Bethlehem,
our desire is to encourage families who register
with us to continue to seek after Christ, becoming
ever brighter reflections of His Words, His Attitudes, and His Actions. |
